Deep South Steel Show (Gulfport, MS)
Just wanted to comment on the show that Del and I just got home from..... Mr. Bill (Stafford)... it was GREAT !
We spent 7 hours on the road going home to Central Florida
and most of it centered around talk of the musicians, performers and loyal followers we had the good fortune of
meeting, listening to, and learning from while we were there. Thank you all !
Admittedly, we went there to meet Mr. Mitsuo Fugi, the builder of my new EXCEL guitar. But, we were also
warmly welcomed by the musicians and steel lovers
of the Gulf Coast.
I won't talk about every one on fine line-up but ..
if you want to start the conversation, I'll sure jump in, to keep it going !!!
And, a special thank you to the Gulfport VFW, Veterans and Staff for hosting and supporting us all.
GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!!!

Thanks to Mr. Bill Stafford for putting on another great show. All of the players were great. It was good to see so many of my friends. Thank you Mr. Bill for inviting us on the show. I would also like to thank my friend, the great Billy Carr who was so gracious to share his set with us so that we could leave early. It was the highlight of my weekend to get to sit with Billy, he is my hero and one of the best.(I tried to steal a few licks). Tommy Huff had a great selection of his well made cabinets and a nice person to deal with, my buddy Wilburn Stewart did a super job, as well as all of the players. Thanks again to Hal, Roy and Ronnie for backing us up. Brenda, Greg Manchester and I enjoyed it, it was a great time in Gulfport. Thanks again Mr. Bill for allowing us to participate.
