I was definitely disappointed and disgusted with that Cris Cringle guy or whatever the heck his name was.......... I thought he should have respected the Opry and toned it down or performed the song acoustically (it's nice to hear stripped down versions from time to time)... but NO.... he rocked it and rocked it rather badly.
and besides..... I HATE that other song of his.. that "my love goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.................." kwap.

I was a bit hasty in my assumptions earlier, so I have edited and I apoligize for any upsetting remarks. Those of us involved know who we are.

Some of us tend to be more realistic in our view of the country music industry than others. As someone has already stated, MoneyTalks. I know from personal experience, I can fill up a club playing todays country, but opportunities to play the classics to a full house are few and far bewtween. Club owners, like the powers that be in Nashville are definately in it to make money. (Aren't we all) Sorry, but I'm jus statin' facts.

I know what you mean about waiting to hear a little of Tommy White. That's why my whole family listens in. We have 5 kids ranging in age of 5-15 yrs old., and every one of them can tell you when Tommy's on. They also like Jim Ed's Darrell Hornburger. Atleast I can say that there a 5 kids left in this world who enjoy traditional music. By the way, the lady who spent the evening back stage with the White's, who are you and how did you get so fortunate?
