Jason McCoy won a song-of-the-year award from the CCMA for "Ten Million Teardrops Can't Be Wrong".

He freely admits that he and his co-writter Tim Taylor got the idea for the title while browsing thru old LPs and seeing "10,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong".

I think the first one I spent my own money for was Beatle 65, (with No Reply and Mr. Moonlight.)

My first steel guitar album was Emmons Guitar, Inc. (Nuff said...)

"Venus," by Shocking Blue. I think they were from Sweden or somewhere, but they had a "chick singer," and it looked like she was naked on the cover! WHO KNEW????

The first two albums that I bought were "The Best of Buck Owens" for $1.48 and "The best of Merle Haggard" for $2.19 on November 5th, 1970. I had just got ten dollors for my 9th birthday the day before, and went to town and bought a set of guitar strings some picks and two records. Before I had bought these albums I used to buy used juke-box 45's for a quarter, and had about fifteen of them.
My third was the Flatt & Scruggs "Foggy Mt. Banjo" album and the next was "The Merle Travis Guitar" album.
Over the years I have had all of them autographed.

All you guys must be really young. My first "record" was Patsy Montana doing "Ridin ole Paint and Leadin ole Ball". This was before 45's and LP's were ever invented. Is 66 really old? Yea - OK!!
