Granting that the Beatles are almost beyond category, who on Earth can seriously rate The Rolling Stones, a garage band with pretentions, against The Who? I mean, The Who? The Stones? Ya know?

This is just my opinion, which happens to coincide with scientific fact.
[This message was edited by John Kavanagh on 17 June 2003 at 10:16 AM.]

Pre-dawn era:

Best Singer - Little Richard
Best writer - Chuck B.
Best player/singer - Jerry Lee
Best band - Ricky Nelson's guys....

Modern era:

The best I've seen is Bruce Hornsby, but can he really be included? He seems to me to be on a higher plane entirely when compared to most of the names mentioned above.

I'm sure my final comment will be dismissed by everyone, but I think the Stones are, and have always been, awful....

Pull out "One More From The Road" and crank up "Workin' For MCA" by Lynard Skynard!

Also... "Francine" by ZZ Top... Loud.

I've also surprisingly (to me) become an AC/DC fan after seeing a special on them recently on MTV.
Those guys rock really hard!
"Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap"!
