Congrats to Eugene Levy on his songwritter award. It's evidence of the current state of commercial music.
Eugene is from my town. The local paper was quite proud of him, and featured him on Page One.
[This message was edited by Joey Ace on 09 February 2004 at 07:55 AM.]

So Alison Krauss ended up with three(or did she also get one for the "Songs of the Louvin Brothers" album?) more Grammy's this year.
I think that puts her at number one for the most Grammy's ever for a female artist(Aretha Franklin was ahead by one Grammy till this week).
These are my 3 favorites among these awards (for varying reasons ) - although I have to admit I haven't actually heard the 3rd one...
Pop Instrumental Album: "Mambo Sinuendo," Ry Cooder and Manuel Galban.
Traditional Folk Album: "Wildwood Flower," June Carter Cash.
Spoken Word Album for Children: "Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf/Beintus: Wolf Tracks," Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev and Sophia Loren.
"Score Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media: "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," Howard Shore, composer." Way to go, Howard. I played with Howard when I was just starting out on steel and he was coming off Saturday Night Live. Done pretty well for himself. He was "Steel friendly".
