I re-record tapes and lp's to a CD with the computer. I then use Winamp with two plugins called Loopmaster and Pacemaker to adjust the track on the CD to be in tune. These programs are all free on the net. Loopmaster will select any part of a lick, phrase or number of bars and play it over and over again so that you can learn it by ear or tab it. Pacemaker will slow down or speed up the track and it will still remain in tune. You can also change the pitch, hence change the key up or down with Pacemaker.

Billy, try tuning to 442 instead of 440. If that dosn't fix the problem, then you have a problem with your CD/Tape player.
