I am late responding to a dear friend that has passed. I waited until his burial and would then post the wording on Roy's Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame plaque. Laurie is going through a very tough time now and Mary and I extend our sorrow for losing such a wonderful man in her life... Scotty & Mary

Laurie I am in Dallas Tx unloading my truck I'm still driving I got my laptop out and was on the steel guitar forum I seen where Roy had passed away it jumped out and slapped me in the face. You no I thought the world of you and him. I'm just glad that my son and I got to play music with Roy the legend I feel so sorry for you and you lost your Buddy and best friend.I lost my wife 6 years ago and I'm not over that yet I just think of the good times and it helps a lot. Mr Roy, R.I.P.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Roy a few yrs ago, + sharing the stage with him and a couple of other greats.
Mr. Roy, Papa John, Mr. Smoothe, Ben O'Del & Myself.
It was a great honor to be on the same stage with these guys.
