Hi Ron

Well yeah-if they say something boneheaded and then complain about the result, well tough. Shoulda kept your mouth shut. Freedom of Speech does NOT mean freedom from repercussions.

I'm not taking sides here-I quit paying much attention to both sides a long time ago-I'm just pointing out that at least here, those espousing conservative rhetoric get a free pass, although they're not doing anything the different than the liberals in the same position. I do gotta say that at least at the moment the liberal side is winning the war for goofy activities.

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that as a group we list pretty heavily to starboard, and those folks are getting a free pass when it comes to this type of discussion.

I'm on your side-really. I just wanted to point out that an occasional glance in the mirror might be adviseable.

JB,

I acknowledge that there are outspoken celebs on both sides. However, by the numbers, there is truely no comparison.

Heston picked up the NRA gig as his Hollywood career wound down. Other Hollywood Conservatives are conspicuous primarily in their absence from anti-war media events. Toby Keith did a little patriotic chest thumping, but that was in the context of his songs, not some political rally.

It's OK! I'm over feeling guilty for holding their political overtones against them at the box office and the record shop. I've come to terms with my own pettiness. Image

Just wait. We will soon see George Clooney, Susan Serandon, and the like, wind up on Hollywood Squares with Alec Baldwin.
