Well, I think I've come to my senses regarding my financial limitations. I think I've made the more responsible and practical choice considering my situation. I've got a Blueridge BR240 on order. It's their top of the line "Prewar series". A 140 but with premium meterials.Ebony fretboard, bone nut/saddle,scalloped,premium mahogony/sitka, Etc,etc. After all the talk of our beloved American uppercrust makes, some might wince, but I,ve combed thru miles of reviews on BG forums. Many sceptical converts there.
Deciding factors for me-- thin wallet and a need to find a workable instrument sooner than later. Heck, our fiddler kinda joked the other night about the leader firing past pickers for lack of volume.
It should arrive in about a week. So... we'll see. Oh...the price. $699 w/case free shipping.(list $999)
