One morning early on WRAL-TV, Clyde Moody pulled one out of the air just on a whim and as I was backing him up as best I could, I got into the words and couldn't help the tears. I was embarressed and a little ashamed but I had never heard it before and I suppose the time was right.

The song was something about: I Treasure Little Footprints In The Snow.

I never heard it again but Steve Hinson's song; Ray Charles' Georgia On My Mind used to get me too when I first moved to Georgia. I felt as if I had come home; still do !!

Regards, Paul

AMAZING GRACE ON THE BAGPIPES. BUT IT'S A SONG I HOPE NEVER GETS PLAYED BECAUSE IT'S USUALLY AT A FALLEN POLICE OFFICERS FUNERAL.
A friend went to a fraternity reuninion at Colo State and they scheduled an informal memorial service for a frat. member killed in Viet Nam. Just a little get together in a area of the campus to remember their friend.

That morning before the outdoor get together, he was walking by the music building and heard someone practicing bagpipes. Terry found the player and offered him $50 if he would step out from behind a tree about 40 yards from their little get together and, on cue, play "Amazing Grace".

No one knew it was coming and my eyes water up just thinking about it. Can you imagine?

"Don't Step on Mother's Roses" by Johnny Cash,"I'm Nobody's Child " by Hank Williams, and "Blue Must be The Color of The Blues" by George Jones. I also like Matt's favorite instrumental of "Maiden's Prayer"(especially whe using lot of double stops).

Yeah, My Mother's favorite song, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere". And another "My Buddy" she liked hearing me play them . She died in 1942 at the age of 42. when I try to play these songs, or hear them, they will pull a few tears....al
