What a great show! The weakest part of the show was ol' Tater and he was good too!! I liked Hank III's stuff and think he's got a good future in the alternative country scene. My favorite was Hank Jr. as he's had a lot of good tunes that I've played with many bands and always have a great time. Remember "All My Rowdy Friends are Comin' Over Tonight", "A Country Boy Can Survive", "Old Habits", and a host of others especially the one about "If you Don't Like Hank Williams, Jr. you can kiss my @$$"
or something like that. I thought Steve Wilkerson did a great job on steel with the whites. I'd like to see more of him. He's also a hot lead guitar player. Vince was a little suspect on his vocal as it seemed to me like he might be having some throat problems or something. He still did a good job though, although I'd have liked to see Steve W. doing some steel on that tune. You got to hand it to ol' Buck White too, the boy can play some hot piano when he wants to. All in all it was a good show and I enjoyed it. Bocephus Rules!!!!! JH

I thought Hank III was outstanding. No pretense or polish. Just this who I am. Real country with soul. I think Little Jimmy is losing it, but he is a blessed individual to still be able to get up there at 82 and do it. I can forgive him. You have to smile.
[This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 05 January 2003 at 03:54 PM.]

I can't take more than a moment or two of Hank Jr., either - I can't see, or hear, any more than a famous surname! Mike Daley played very well behind him, though.
Great stuff from Steve Wilkerson with the 'Whites'!
It sounded to me like Vince sang that song in too low a key - he doesn't usually slip up like that.
An interesting show with plenty of steel!

I guess Kayton couldn't be there. I was lookin forward to his playing with HankIII, but Donny did a great job(for just playin' fiddle).I liked HankIII and would love to see more acts go out on the Opry stage with out drums and a dozen guitar amps behind them.
I turned the TV off when Hank Jr. came on stage!
