Be sure to come by and check out the new Sierra Steel guitars, I'll have 3 or 4 of them there.

Will also have some bitchin' new Sierra hats available. Come by and enter the trivia contest to win one. Details to be announced.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Happy New Year!

Really looking forward to seeing so many friends next week! This year I'm so lucky to have this legendary guitarist play on my set.... Google or look up Jack Petersen on Wikipedia. Hope I can keep up :)

I will be there helping Ross Shafer in the Sierra booth. I'm supposed to play a set, but I ruptured my eardrum last week. If I'm still half deaf (which is likely), I'll have to beg off. :(

I'm bringing my guitar anyway, so you guys can all drool over Ross's work. Also bringing my beautiful antique Sierra Olympic S-12, which I hope to sell. :)

Getting very excited about this show.

Can someone please post a schedule for the main stage?

As much as I'd like to attend all three days, work will not allow it :(

No kidding Ron! I still can't believe that Jack actually asked me to play on my set! ( trust me, I wouldn't have had the nerve to ask him... ) Jack absolutely loves the steel guitar! He grew up playing western swing around Oklahoma and Texas years before he went on to start the guitar programs at Berklee AND North Texas State. He gave me a couple live recordings of him and Maurice Anderson in the 70's that are just just fantastic! He was buddies with Leon Rhodes, Tom Morrell etc. His list of students who went on to be top pros is mind boggling! e.g. John Abercrobie and Clint Strong just to name a couple.

I'm seriously not worthy, but after the year that I've had health wise, I'm gonna just consider this another huge blessing and honor. 8)

btw, our set is scheduled for 7pm on Friday, right after dinner. I'll be trying my best not to have too much nervous vibrato

I’m looking forward to seeing you all! I’ll be playing guitar with David Wright and Doug Livingston, which is worth the trip by itself, not to mention hearing such amazing players (jeez, Rick - I can’t wait to hear that set!)

I’m also playing my first ever steel set, with Rick, Doug, and Dan Range, at 11:40 on Saturday. Gulp....

Just gonna play some jazz tunes as best as I can

See you all there - great news about you coming, Travis!!!!
