Hey Guys,
I plan to buy a dedicated computer for my studio. Are the audio processing software for mastering compatible with Windows 7?
Thanks,
Bryant

Bryant, it's mostly buyers beware with drivers for Windows 7. Just check with the company that makes the hardware and software. I am using Windows 7 Ultra and I love it but a few of the companies that make the hardware and software I use are lagging behind on Win 7 drivers.
I have a Roland GI-20 pitch to midi converter and Roland does not have drivers for it yet but they do have Vista drivers so I'm hoping the two systems are close enough to work but I haven't tried it yet. Tascam seems to be slow as well as Line 6 at least for their hardware.
So just check before you buy because every company is different. Cakewalk is on board for Win 7 and everything works fine in it (at least 32 bit) so just beware that some companies are always slow to adopt new Operating Systems and then others seem to have drivers ready the day the new systems are released. One last note 64 bit drivers are the hardest to find at least for me. Good luck

Hey Bob,
Thanks for your reply. I'll be using the computer just to master and I'd like to use Ozone 4 as a plug in. I am upgrading from a 16 track adat system to the Alesis HD 24 and the master end is new to me.
Thanks again for your help.
