E-mail Problem?

Post by Roger Shackelton »

I'm able to send & receive E-Mail, but get this notice:

Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication. Account: 'mail.comcast.net (1)', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid command', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

How can I fix this problem?

I'd try turning off "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" and click "my server requires authentication". Or some such.

HI CAL,

I tried what you recommended, but then the same message appears twice. :?:

Hmm... You didn't say what OS or email app you're using, but I'd try calling Comcast.
