What a great loss it was to all of us steel players. Herby was just a fantastic player and a super guy to boot. The steel shows will sure suffer with him not being there.

You were one of my very favorite players and also a great teacher; another player whose contributions to the world of pedal steel guitar are numerous. We are all better players because of you, whether we know it or not!! Rest In Peace my friend.
