Have a Trojan and Rootkit problem

Hello
The computer is a new Dell Dimension One, win7. Has Trend Micro Titanium virus protection. Has Troj_ZACCESS.JT and RTKT_ZACCESS.FP. I cannot get these out of the computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks Winston May

Boot into safe mode. Go to Microsofts online support and let them get it out for you.

The Trend Micro user forums already has a topic on removing this malware.

Go there, sign up for a user account. You can use your existing TM user name/email address that you used to register the software.

If you don't find the the solutions posted in that topic are successful for you, open a new topic and wait for a trained volunteer malware hunter-killer to assist you.

Once engaged, follow the instructions given by your Angel. Sequences and timing are of the utmost importance when fighting modern malware and rootkits.

Let us know how this plays out.

Wiz, All is well now. I downloaded HitmanPro, ran it and it is fixed. Thanks for the heads up about Trend Micro fix. Winston May
