Mac Won't Read Audio CDs Made By Windows

Post by b0b »

The title says it all. The CD drive works for commercial CDs, but it fails on audio CD-R's burned on a Windows PC. It simply says they are unreadable.

The computer is a Mac Mini running OS X 10.6.8.

My truck system plays everything burned by Windows media except those that were burned with Auto Leveling checked. It sees those as an unplayable file. Just reburning them with no media volume leveling works and it doesn't seem to matter whether they are fixed or variable rate.
