Tablature of Lloyd Green performances

Post by Jan Jonsson »

Hi,

I just wanted to mention that I have tablature of selected Lloyd Green performances for sale in the "For Sale: Music, Lessons, etc." section. The selection is from Lloyd's live and recording performances after his hiatus.

When I informed Lloyd about my plans he generously offered to review my tabs, and I was very pleased to learn that he considers them to be of high enough quality to be put up for sale.

As a token of my appreciation for this community all proceeds from the sales of these tabs will be donated to b0b's Steel Guitar Forum.

The tabs in question are the following (click on link):

Remember When (ISGC'03)

Borrowed Angel ("Revisited" album)

Sweet Memories (ISGC'01)

Easy Lovin' (ISGC'01)

Best regards,

-- Jan

and I might add; that I've known Jan for a bazzillion years and he has a Brilliant ear(one of the best ears for music I've seen) and his tab is INCREDIBLY Correct. To tab Lloyd Green correctly in the positions he actually played it and what string combinations he actually plays; is almost impossible to tab; as we normal steel players NEVER really play our instrument like the way Lloyd does; and so to have someone come along that can tab it the way Lloyd actually played it is beyond great....and JAN JONSSON is that guy.

Thanks so much, Ricky and b0b!

Of course, I would never have achieved this without the tough boot camp exercises with drill sergeant Ricky Davis during my first years as a newbie steel player.

cool! Lloyd tabs and helping the forum! Great! so each tab is $12?

to what address do we send the paypal payment?

Also how is life in Gothenburg? I played the "way out west" (I think it was that fest.. but definitely played in that town) festival a couple of years back... our set was in an old church... was in and out of town very fast but sure looked like a gorgeous place!

Hi Josh,

Each tab is $12, except Easy Lovin' which is $10.

Please PM or email me via the forum and I'll send you the information needed for payment.

Too bad I missed you when you played in Gothenburg. The music scene is very good here, but lacking somewhat in the steel guitar department. But I try to contribute as much as I can with my music.

Best regards,

A bump for the post, for those who might have missed it during the summer holidays.

I just received all four tabs from Jan. Thanks to Jan for all the hard work, thanks to B0b for the forum which made the exchange possible, and thanks to Lloyd Green for all the years of magic on the steel guitar!

Perhaps it is time for yet another bump. The tabs are still available in case you want to support the forum.
