Post by Jeffery Self »

Larry would be 80 years old today. Sure do miss ya' dad! Life just isn't the same once losing a parent.
Thanks for all the life's lessons and the chance to get to meet a lot of steel guitar greats.
You are missed by many.

Larry was a special man and a friend to so many of us. I wish I had spent more time with him in his later years but miles and life got in the way. We kidded around with each other but he usually got the best of it. At the last Choo-Choo show he thanked me for playing an "adequate set". I sure do miss him.

I miss his steel shop and the Steel shows, here in Florida. Last time I saw Larry was at Bobbe Seymour's shop in Nashville.

His store was the 1st steel place I checked out here in Florida when I moved here in 1996.
