E9th Class in Phoenix**Travis Toy *new* & Larry Toliver**
Hello Brother Steelers,
Had to make a change about our class that Steve and I were teaching at the Phoenix Steel Show. Steve has had some health issues crop up, and will not be able to make it. The material mentioned here will be there as stated earlier, but Travis Toy will now be helping me out, and taking Steve's portion of the class. He will cover ALOT! If you were planning on coming to the earlier mentioned class, The same material will be there that was promised. I will perform mine (larry t) and Steve's material will be there. But Travis will have his own portion of the class. This is a GREAT help to me, especially at the last minute. My personal thanks to Travis for the volunteering at the last minute.
It will feature 2 popular C6th songs on E9th, both of which I think are awesome! The 1st is Night Life as only Steve can play it, and we got 99% of the same C6th licks moved over to the E9th neck. The 2nd is Don't Get Around Much Anymore, and It does involve lowering the 10th string 1 whole tone down to an A. I have this on my RR which already lowers my 9th & 2nd strings, so this should be no problem for most steels to add. It gets that Fat sound on your E9th. Here is a taste of each song and a live description of what we are doing as well. We also plan to have some of Steve's best C6 hot licks on E9th for the class as well. This class will not be one that you want to miss. You can let me know here, or email me or Steve if possible. We do hope to See you in Phoenix in January.
Later,
Larry & Steve

Just a quick note to mention about the class in Phoenix. I will be hosting the class alone, as Steve has developed a health problem that will not allow him to make it to Phoenix. I do have his material, and the notebooks are printed, and cds. Please say a prayer for Steve Palousek to have a speedy recovery. I look forward to seeing you there....and thanks!

Well, Just talked with Travis Toy, and he is going to help me with the class. The class will be back at the $30.00 level since I will obviously split it with Travis. This is great news for me, and for everyone interested in the class in Phoenix. Travis is as good as it gets in my humble opinion!!!!!
See ya'll there!

Thanks to both of you for another fine seminar.
Travis, your explanation of pick blocking was excellent and really helped me. The chord voicing info was also very useful and inspiring.
Larry, I love your tabs and your style of instruction. You did a great job putting this all together. Very useful stuff. The way you convey the important details without losing the big picture is simply fantastic.
