TSGA Rick Alexander Sessions... Wrap Up and Thanks

Post by Stephen Cowell »

Edit: Jim Pittman's video link is now fixed.

Crazy wonderful weekend... just posted the last video, so my work is done... time to give out some thanks.

My first gratitude goes out to Albert and Debbie Talley and the TSGA... they cover the room and expenses incurred therein, without their help and support we could not do what we do. If you can, give generously and support the TSGA, they take care of steelers on the way down.

The many artists that headline our stage... you are the reason for the Room, we are here to appreciate you and spread your talent. None of our artists are paid to appear upstairs... they do it out of love.

Ben Price of the San Antonio Steel Guitar Association was my head sherpa and stalwart roadie... Ben, your contribution was manifold and ongoing, I might have literally died without your logistical help packing and setting up/down.

My emcees, Jana/James Lockaby, Bob Blair, and Rose Sinclair... saving me from the baleful eye of (my own) camera, you became the face of the effort, allowing the man behind the curtain to get on with it. Thanks for helping.

My Pizza sponsors, Larry and Phyllis Tresnicky (Friday) and Ivan and Dee Reddington (Saturday)... your generosity continues the Rick tradition of the pizza party. I can't thank you enough for what you do for the Room.

The RANP Band: Mark Moseley, Carco Clave, Charlie Irwin, and Ron Erwin... where the rubber meets the road, thanks guys.

The many folks that made donations:
Jeff Strouse
Manny's Millinery (Howard R)
Mark Roeder
Cathe St. Claire (Rick's widow)
Howard Parker
Gary Ackley
Karen Watson
Jim Newberry
Mike Greer
Bill Sinclair
Ralph Czitrom
Mark Moseley
Bob Blair
and others in person known to themselves.

And all the tip-jar contributors. Thanks! Let's do it again next year... already have a bunch of ideas, looking forward to it.
