Getting my new S-12 6/5 Infinity in Oceanside 5/18 10am

Post by Pete Grant »

I posted this in events, 'cause this is a major event for me, and I'm more than happy to share it with anyone who wants to join the fun, which should start at about 10am on Saturday. I'm getting my second (!) Infinity S-12 6/5 on Saturday at Steel Guitars of North County. My first one is mostly way too pretty to drag around to most gigs, with its 13 coats of automotive lacquer and Paua abalone inlay. So this new one is in matte black mica--like my '75 Emmons p/p which has been all over and pretty much none the worse for wear. The new Infinity will be my major gig axe. I'm especially happy to be getting another infinity, since Frank Carter is quite close to ending production so he can play more, which I totally understand.

Come join me and my friends. It's always fun to go to Palenscar's place!

I thought Mr Carter stopped building a while ago. I have never had a chance to try an Infinity but I must say that they appear to be the classiest looking guitars out there.

They're supremely elegant with their restrained graphics - it's a toss-up for me between one of these and a nice JCH.

Pete - I can well understand your excitement! It's an 'event', to be sure.

I did not include Infinity on my list for new guitars because I also thought he was not taking orders (and maybe by last October when I needed to get on it, he was not). Because otherwise, it would have surely been under consideration. Congrats on this! NGD is always exciting.

I heard that if you are five minutes late, it goes to the next person in line so maybe I'll be there, just in case.

Just wanted to be clear that this guitar is an old order that I am now finishing. At this point, I am still not taking new orders. Thanks everyone for the kind words.
