Susan

It was great to see you perform in person last month at the Guelph Jazz festival.

I joked with you that I was not anticipating any Ray Price shuffles and that was the case.

I enjoyed your personal style and unique steel playing.

I was especially taken with your performance "Song of the Birds"...( I think that was the title)

The old MSA had great tone in the venue.

Kind regards

Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes, I remember our conversation at Guelph - and I thought about doing "Crazy Arms" or maybe "A Way to Survive" (if only I had my E9th neck with me), but I didn't. The last song was indeed titled "Song of the Birds" (the Pablo Casals tune). And I'm pretty taken with the tone of that old MSA.

It was nice to see you again, I'm glad you liked the music, and I hope to see you again in the not-too-distant future (a heads up, I'll play in Toronto in early March).

Take good care,
Susan
