Nashville Tennessee Super Jam, Sept. 6 & 7

Post by Billy Easton »

The NTSGA Annual Super Jam will be held on Friday and Saturday, Sept 6 & 7, 2019 at American Legion Post 88, 2864 Elm Hill Pike, Donelson, TN.

We will have one last "HURRAH" at this location, due to the fact that the property has recently been sold. We hope to have a packed house for this performance!

Mullen Guitar Co. and a few other vendors will be here to exhibit their latest guitars and accessories.

We are excited that Doug Jernigan, Russ Hicks,Lynn Owsley, Larry Sasser, Chuck Campbell, Janice Zilm and Chris Castle, have all agreed to perform. We are waiting for a few others to commit. We are hoping that Mike Johnson, Buck Reid, Perley Curtis, Eddy Lang, Eddie Dunlap, Randy Beavers and others will also perform.

There are several hotel/motels in the area. The venue is close to the Nashville Airport and many of the hotels provide airport transportation. LaQuinta, Motel 6, Hampton Inn and others are located on Donelson Pike near the American Legion Post.

Come join us in Nashville and enjoy a weekend of the best steel guitar music on the planet!

I will be there both days. I have a motel reservation near by for $175.00 for both nights. Two double beds. I could use a room mate to cut expenses.

Festivities will begin promptly at 1:00 pm and go till approximately 10:30 pm on both days.

Admission is $25 per person per day, or $40 for both days! I have confirmed many players like Doug Jernigan, Russ Hicks, Danny Muhammad, and many others. I am still waiting for confirmation from other players.

Come join us for a great steel guitar celebration in Music City, USA!

After reading the horrible reviews on the Lotus Inn and suites, I cancelled and have made reservations elsewhere. $175.00 for two nights. Double beds,no smoking.I would like to have a room mate to help out with expenses,if anybody is interested. Cost will be $44.00 each per night. I have a reservation for Friday and Saturday nights.

George Kimery wrote:I found a room at the Lotus Inn and Suites for $54.00 plus tax. It's right off interstate 40, 2.9 miles east of the airport, so 5 miles or less from the show. I will accept a room mate if anybody is interested. $33.00 ea. per night I have a reservation for Friday and Saturday nights.
You might want to cancel that reservation, George, and find somewhere else: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Revie ... essee.html

Joe,thanks for the warning. The reviews were horrible. It used to be a Family Inn, so that says a lot.I have made reservations elsewhere.

What a great weekend of steel guitar! Even though several of the players had to cancel due mostly to medical issues, we had a great show.
Thanks to all the players, the band, the Mullen Guitar Co., Mrs. Jean Hughey, all those who attended, as well as all the officers and helpers of the NTSGA.
The old Post 88 will be razed in a couple of months, so I am researching other venues. I promise to post all the information as soon as I can.
Thanks to all of you for your patience and please continue to support the steel guitar activities in your area. And of course we would love to have you visit us in Nashville. Thanks to all for your support.
