Gram Parsons *GP* album tribute-show, Kittery, ME 11/15

Post by Dan Beller-McKenna »

Gold Plated Door, a Gram Parsons tribute project, will be performing his first solo LP, GP (and other Parsons favorites) at the Dance Hall in Kittery Maine, Friday 11/15, 7:30-9:30. Fellow Forumite Bruce Derr and I will take turns between steel and tele (and I'll cover dobro parts) as part of a seven piece band. It's a great line up in a great room and a treat for all of us who love Gram's music.

Hope to see some fellow steelers at the show.

This sounds wonderful. If I lived a bit closer, I would so be there.

This Friday. Come watch Bruce Derr and me arm wrestle over who gets the good pedal steel parts. Could be a pedal steel brawl at center stage. Bruce has a few inches on me, but I have a few dozen pounds on him. Could get ugly!!

Just kidding: we've already divvied up the parts nicely, and there will be some songs with two pedal steels. Hope to see some New England steel buddies there.
