I enjoyed this interview with the late great Jimmy Capps, featuring Clyde Mattocks, both Eastern NC master musicians,as well as being two genuine country gentlemen.

Thanks Michael. Sadly, this was the last time I saw my lifelong friend Jimmy Capps. Billy Yeargin, conducting the interview is a former professor at Duke University. This was for the Duke archives on North Carolina music history. Little did we know then that we did it just in time.

Thanks, Michael and Clyde. I enjoyed the interview. I have watched Jimmy on TV for a long time and it was nice to hear his story. Good man, good musician. I really enjoy all the country music history one can learn from the Steel Guitar Forum.
