Yes I read that too. What a monster fingerpicker. Son of Merle Travis and he could talk and pick just like his dad. Seen him in concert in the 90s jaw dropping guitar player and great singer too. Rip Thom.

Del Langejans a luthier from Holland Michigan built a custom guitar for Thom. i had an opportunity to see and hear it before Thom picked it up....sorry to hear he has passed

My condolences to family and friends. And to anyone who has ever picked up a guitar, whether you knew of him or not, a great benefactor has been lost. I enjoyed his earthy voice too.
