.015 gauge string spec. range

Post by Tom Campbell »

Will a .015-gauge string work for a 4th string E-F change.

Is the F too great of a stretch for the .015 string?

The string spec. sheets information I have are inconsistent.

Yes, works just fine for raising E to F or F#. Several players, including me, use a .015 string on 4.

You're welcome Tom. Best to you. I hope the .015 works out for you too.

Yes you will notice the .015 will raise quicker and Lower easier; and less winey, and is why Paul Franklin uses it now for his Copedent shown on that NYXL pack Ian put up.
