For 18 months, it's been my only shipper. The online software is superior to USPS or UPS, and the prices have also been great. I have shipped artwork and an amplifier, and was not disappointed in the outcome or price. I know some folks are reticent to ship heavy, valuable items, but this removes barriers to shipping.

I've used them several times in the past couple of years for domestic and foreign shipping. They have been great to work with.

Well I just created an account, though I don't have anything to ship at this time, but wanted to be ready.

Haven't really researched them, but are they just a broker for UPS and USPS? They certainly appear to be considerably cheaper than going straight UPS. And I assume UPS wouldn't come pick up your package, you'd have to drop it off just like you've always had to. Not sure how they're able to do this as cheaply as they advertise. The mark-up on shipping must be much higher than I realized.

Yep, you’re just buying the carrier’s label from them at rates they’ve pre negotiate. I assume with a UPS label you can still schedule a pickup. I’ve never tried it but can’t see why not. Recently shipped something to Poland and had some trouble with customs there not being able to contact the receiver. I got a message from Pirate Ship customer service about it with some UPS addresses on copy to try and help me resolve the issue. That was unexpected, and of course UPs was no help whatsoever. But at least Pirate Ship tries to help without any request for assistance from me.

Just tried it today on a couple shipments. Big savings and more easy than the UPS or USPS website.

Thanks !

I can't seem to find if they offer pickup without creating an account. Which I don't wish to do at this time. Anyone know? Thanks b.
