Jacob King Live

Post by Larry Jamieson »

If you have not heard of this young pedal steel player, check out this video. I saw this show live in Maine, when I went to See Sarah Jory who headlined this show. This young player, Jacob King, blew me away. His execution, intonation, and expressive playing are top shelf and he is only 22 years old. Wow... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKR90ZCzOyc

I have been friends with Jacob since he was a mere pup. He has always astounded me with his ability, not only on the steel guitar but in everything he does. He is truly a remarkable young man with his head screwed on straight. He will do well in life.

Jacob King has just gotten better every time I hear him. He is also a down to earth young man. Sure wish I was related to him.

I've been following Jacob over the last year and man oh man, is he a gifted player and a nice young gentleman. He's destined to enter the rarified air of one of the best steel players ever, someday, as he progresses.

Jacob has "it" which anyone could plainly see years ago. He was meant to play the pedal steel. He has so many Buddy nuances it's incredible. Well done, Jacob!

Perfect, Jacob! You must have spent a serious amount of time getting that right.
