My version and questionably musical arrangement of Jimmy Day's 1963 version of "Please Help Me I'm Falling" from his album "Steel and Strings". I can't make videos to save myself but this one features all the pedal steel related equipment used to record. I Understand Jimmy played this on an 8 string Fender or Sho-Bud in a D9 Tuning. I used an E9 Williams and a 100W Silverface Vibrosonic with JBL D130F, Goodrich VP, Sarno BB and 2 x Strymon Pedals (All pictured). I found it really difficult to emulate Jimmy's masterful playing and tone on what is a relatively simple song, especially with the modern equipment. I'm interested in any feedback that might help me to emulate an old raspy Sho-Bud tone with the gear I'm fortunate to have, even post production. Jesus bless you all, keep on pickin'
