With all due respect to Johnny , I'm not comfortable with the implication on the "sleepwalk" web site that Santo WAS the sound. Personally I think his rythmn playing was integral BUT the playing of SANTO was their sound.
Johnny's attempt at re-creation is admirable....but falls far short of the original.IMHO.

BTW I'm not too happy to post this but feel motivated by my love and admiration of the originality shown by them on their prior recordings.
I owe them a lot , as their version of "Sleepwalk" was probably the biggest influence on my playing the steel guitar , (other than the "Hawaii Calls" regulars).
