Houston International Festival

Post by BobRob »

Is anybody going to be playing pedal steel here this weekend?

The line-up on Saturday at the Texas Zone is:

1:00 pm- Clay Farmer Band
2:15 Cornell Hurd Band
3:30 Don Walser
4:45 Johnny Bush
6:30 Junior Brown

Looks pretty good for 8 bucks.

And here I sit in Houston, and have to fly out tomorrow back to Philly. Ouch! Let's see, 5 groups for $8... that works out to a buck-sixty per group. I guess that's a fair price, don't you think? Image

Well, is your tounge in your cheek when you asked that question? Image I've never heard of the Clay Farmer band (is it Clay Blaker?) but with Cornell and Johnny Bush you should be seeing Mr. Herb Stiener steel player of this forum. and with Don, Scott Walls will be there with his Sho Bud LDG.

That is a seriously good line up. I am very tempted to get in the car and drive over there tomorrow.

What a show folks. Had to take care of the case for Cornell's sax player due to parking problems. Great conversation on the road with Herb S and Justin Trevino.
Finaly got to see Johnny Bush
