Steve Young: Renegade Picker

Post by Glenn Suchan »

Howdy Y'all!

A while back there was a thread on the forum regarding Steve Young's album, "Renegade Picker". Most who are familiar with this album and Steve's following album "No Place To Fall", agree that they represent not only some of the best recordings for Steve, but some of the best country music of the 1970's. The sad thing is they have been out of print for years and are next to impossible to find.

Well, I have some great news! An import double CD containing both albums has recently become available. It is so recent that the liner notes were written during June 2001. I ordered a copy from Amazon.com for $22.99 and it arrived in about a week. The only thing I can say is WOW!

Great albums sans the scratchy sounds of the original vinyl recordings. If you like the songs "Seven Bridges Road", "Montgomery In The Rain", and "Lonesome, On'ry and Mean", or the steel pickin' of The Big E and Lloyd Green, (and who doesn't?) get this CD package!

Keep on pickin'!
Glenn
