Your thought the music business was lucrative?

Post by Al Gershen »

Hi SGF:

Here's a link to an article in the Arts section of today's (11/15/01) New York Times that is certainly worth looking over:

http://www.nytimes.com/2001/11/15/arts/music/15POPL.html?rd=hcmcp?p=041UhS041UjT43paH012000m1XKd1XOO

Note: you may have to register (it's free) with the NY Times to read the article.

What's reported in this article is very disturbing to me. I would think that the Musicians Unions would be very interested in this matter and make attemps to correct this.

What are your thoughts?

Regards,

The title of this thread should be:

"You thought the music business was lucrative?"

Sorry for the typo but I don't know how to correct it.

I cross off most sites like that, that require you to "register" (give them various personal information).

Every other on-line newspaper I've come across doesn't require registering or only registering for special access or articles.
