Great views and picking from Randle Currie.
Much as I'm not a fan of Lee Greenwood, he did reference Krispy Kreame donuts.

The Chicks are looking good and appearance acceptable for the opry stage. Maby the new album has promise.

Never been real fond of the Dixie Chicks but tonight they made a good impression on me. Man those girls can get down on some bluegrass.
Porter is a good selection for the hall but IMHO Bill Carlisle is about 30 years overdue. It's about time don't Ya think? Image

Porter Wagoner unfortunately along with Bill Carlilse and many others had their popularity 3o years before the selection commitee even knew about Country music. Almost 80 years in the business I am sure has been a great enough reward for a lifetime of dedication to his craft. But 90 years old plus and still "jumping" God Bless Bill carlilse. Come to think about it, God did. Image CMA honor and award totally deserved and the creme de la creme is to be alive to recieve it unlike Faron and Webb who deserved the honor long before they passed on.

Yes, it is about time. I remember growing up in NE MD, Porter was it on Sat afternoons coming to you from WGAL in Lancaster. A great entertainer, always knew how to work a crowd, had a few nice duet partners, too. LOL Bill and Porter...it is about time!!!!!!!! Pat

This might be their best yet. They used a Steel player to produce it(Llyod Maines).
They have been in a year long legal battle with Sony Music over back royalties and I think they came out ahead. They got their own label - Open Wide Records-, creative control over music and prodution, a 20% royalty rate of unit sales, and a $20 million bonus.
Promo info says the new album has no drums or electric bass and is revisiting their bluegrass roots.Info On Legal Suit
