steeler on Ray Price records late 60's

Post by Jason Powers »

I was listening to some of Ray Price's late 60's and early 70's recordings earlier today, and I couldn't help but notice that although it wasn't dominant like on his honky tonk and shuffle stuff, there is some very good and pretty steel in several of them. Who was doing Ray's sessions then? In some places it sounds like Buddy, other places Lloyd, and in 1 or 2 songs it sounds like Jay Dee Maness. Which steeler is it? Thanks Jason

Curly Chalker also did some work with Price on the "For The Good Times" and others in the 70s.
