Mixerman

Post by Chip Fossa »

Where is the Mixerman? Is he real? Have we
all been dooped? What is going on? I am an
angry fan. Some of use must have the answer.

Let us know. Sick and tired of accepting the usual stream of BOO-LONLEY.

Feel like dumb and knee-elected.

It doesn't matter who he is.
He provided us with a very enjoyable story.

It was a story worth paying for, but he did it for free.

On Jan 23 Mixerman posted "I should have an update in the near future."

I sure hope so, but if it doesn't happen I'll understand.

I suspect MM's story, which began as a small diary at the ProSound Recording forum, snowballed into something larger than he ever expected.

Well I just ran into a producer friend in our local Starbucks (Blink 182, Lifehouse) and afer a brief chat he mentioned that Mixerman had worked with him on a recent project. (but this guy wasn't the producer in the story) I brought up the Mixerman diaries and he was well aware of it. He said Mixerman made it all up, his characters were conglomerations of people he'd worked with in the past. He seemed to know this for a fact. I'd figured the same.

Well, made up or not, it was a great
and amusing ride for a while there.

MM is quite the writer. I can see where keeping this story going would eat up a lot of time.

A well earned rest.

Thanks Joey and Rich and Earnest.

OK, for fun while waiting for the next MM fix, let's pretend we are casting a high buget Hollywood Movie based on MM's essays.

Who would you cast?

I have Robin Williams as "Marv" the Label President, Danny DeVito as "Shorty Pants" the band's manager, Eminem as "Fingaz".

Bianca Jagger or Kathy Bates for Penny
Pincher?
It's been a while and some of the characters
are fading from me.
