I think Twang Thang was sold by Guitar Player magazine. It might have been a compilation of some of their columns.

Yes, it's great! Read the description on that ebay listing. I don't quite get the way it's organized. But if each mp3 is a "lesson" than there is about 49 recordings consisting of up to 10 minutes of an artist explaining various licks. I haven't tried the other features. It's certainly worth $10.50. No documentation is included. You have to read the text loaded on the cdrom. I haven't tried to use the backing tracks.

The "Twang-Thang" rocks...there is more techniques and ideas presented than you'll ever be able to use. It really did add some new life to my Tele-picking. I think all the players were featured/columnists in Guitar player. The course is easy to use from the computer because you can display the tab (adobe) and play the mp3's at the same time. It was worth the few bucks that I payed for it.

Twang Thang is still being offered - I just got mine today - I haven't gone through it all yet, but it has some cool stuff that's bound to give your guitar playing a kick in the youknowwhat! It is well worth the $7 and shipping.
[This message was edited by Mike Selecky on 23 May 2003 at 06:43 PM.]
