Daniel O'Donnell On PBS

Post by Lawrence Sullivan »

Just watched the Daniel O'Donnell show on PBS
Filmed in Belfast, Ireland and really enjoyed it Several shots of his Steel Player and he introduced him but I didn't catch the steelers name
Maybe one of you in that part of the world can fill me in
Thanks Larry

Lawrence, do you have any idea how long ago the show was filmed? At one stage Daniel's steel player was Richard Nelson but he is no longer with him and to the best of my knowledge, in recent months, his steel player has been Kevin Sheerin.

Hello Anne and thanks for repyling. PBS is in the midst of fund raising in the St Louis, Mo. area and this is when they bring out their better programs so I would suspect this show was filmed several years ago. They did mention it was in a new auditorium in Belfast so maybe that dates the performance.
.
I thought Daniel put on a good performance and he did give recognition to the steel player.I always like to see the musicians given credit
Thanks Larry
