Karioki at the Ryman ,ugh ugh ugh
The gosple music awards used tapes for several of there performers, and even dubbed in steel on one that had a drummer and piano.A place as beautiful and musical as the Origianal Grand ol opry should never ever have a karoki set.Even if they have to wing it unhearsed.Shame on those people they have discraced the meaning of the opry.

Well, for a regular Opry show I agree with you, ugh. But, for live awards shows, tapes, dubs and prompters have become standard procedures. On other awards shows, some groups just lip-synch the whole thing. I'm not defending this, and don't care for it myself, but it's the way of the world these days.
Maybe we shouldn't get out drawers in a bunch over this. Thank God they had a steel part at all.
