When a New York Times reporter uncovered these lost wax figures following the closing of the museum (if that's the word) on Music Row, I blasted (on my bluegrass radio show) the prevailing Nashville mindlessness-set of disregard for its musical past. Wasn't much worth speaking out about, if the eBay auction is any indication. But no one said "Madame Tussaud," did they? (The NYT article however, mentioned and pictured The Carter Family with original clothes and instruments. Hence my outburst at the time.)
