Case for harp guitar?

Post by John Kavanagh »

I'm helping to look for a case for a harp guitar a friend of mine has. It's a Ditson or possibly a Ditson copy , a flat top and fairly shallow. It would almost fit in the case of my D-8 if the case's innards were switched a little. The instrument is of course a little more fragile than a lap steel.

He's a doctor and therefore obscenely wealthy, at least compared to me. He got the guitar off ebay for around $600 US (about 835 in real money Image ), and is having some reconditioning done to it at a cost of 700 in real money, which is around $500 US. So I'm guessing he'd pay around $200 for a case, maybe more (and he'll probably have to to get something sturdy custom built).

What can people reccomend?

Ditto what Michael said! They will make whatever kinda case you'll possibly ever need. The last I called them, the number was 718-452 0577 ( they're in Brooklyn, NY ), but that was few years ago.
