One of my Nashville 400's has developed a rattle in the speaker. I have a Session 500 that I don't use anymore and was wondering if I could swap out the speakers until I can get this looked at. I have a gig this weekend and really need the amp. They look the same and both are 15" BW's so I assume I can. Before someone says, "Why don't you just use the Session 500 this weekend?" It needs to go to the shop for another problem besides the speaker so it's out of service right now. Any ideas?

Yea I'd swap the speakers. but you could just take the magnet off of the 400. Go get a business card and put some tape on it sticky side out. run that tape down in that groove on the big magnet. pickup all the trash that might be in there. I did this one time on a BW and the thing played good for another year. Regards.

Peavey calls that "cleaning the gap". I had one of my 12" BW speakers start some slight distortion. Took the magnet off cleaned it and reinstalled the magnet - took care of the problem.
According to the Session 500 manual it is a 4 ohm speaker, which should work in your Nashville 400, however I belieive it's a 1502 speaker instead of a 1501. But try it, you might like it better.
