TC Electronics D-2 Digital Delay ?

Post by Grayson Joe »

Do any of you steel players use this delay for your steel guitar? and if so, how do you like it? can you get slap delay, plus delays like...1-2-3-fadeing out on the 4th delay? and how is the tone match for pedal steel guitar? any comments?

Anything TC makes is wonderful. I own a couple of the D2's, plus an original 2290 delay (not to mention several 'verbs), which is the the original killer delay.

I have only used the D2 in the studio, where it works just fine. I have used the 2290 a lot in my rack, where it has programable effects loops. Expensive, but worth it.

I can't see how you could go wrong with it for a rack. That said however, I mainly use the Line 6 Delay pedal, which is equally cool in it's own way.

have fun...

I use a Behringer Ultramizer, 24 bit processing and only $150, clean as the TC units and not as complicated to operate. I had a TC M-one and it was awkward to operate with the control setup, went back to my Ultramizer.
