I know this is not earth-shaking news, but I was pleasantly surprised last night when I attended the Andy Williams/Glen Campbell show in Branson and found that Glen is using a steel player. The guy alternates on steel and rhythm guitar. (Sorry, can't remember his name). I'm not saying he is a great player (didn't hear enough of him to determine that), but it sure was nice to see the steel at least showcased in what I consider to be a wonderful theater and show. At one point I actually leaned over and asked the sound man who was playing steel, and he actually knew what instrument I was talking about. I guess that is some progress. :=) dan
