Houston Shows - Who was the steeler?

Post by Michael Garnett »

Just watched two great shows at the Houston Rodeo. The "Legends of Rodeo Houston" was one of the best I've seen. Charley Pride, Mac Davis, Kenny Rogers, The Gatlin Brothers and Naomi Judd. The interesting thing was, they didn't have time to have their own bands there, so they had sortof a "house band." that played for all of them. Does anybody in the Houston area know who the steeler was? Was it any of y'all?

Also, George Strait, despite laryngitis, played a set that couldn't be beat, as well as an encore set that included some Johnny Cash. There was quite a few camera shots of a great sounding black Zum. Was that Mike Daily, or is somebody else travelling with the Ace band?
