If you are talking about his 9&9 Emmons..Man, YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW. I watched Jack Stryhorn build Johns' Emmons Black Lacquer D-10, 9 floors, 9knees, and watched him TUNE this puppy with compensators,anti-detuner, and ALL KINDS of stuff that was custom orderd. It took him about an hour and a half to tweek it. I have enough trouble tweeking my Emmons S-10,3&6.Compensators and detuning and other super stuff included.
NOW....If you are asking about his ZUMS'..........????? Image

Kenny,A reminder, being only two hours from Wheeling, thought you might want to know that Gene Watson will be at the Capital Music Hall on May 11th at 7PM.That goes for everyone else out there in the Heartland.

Let me give this a try. John mailed this setup to me about 3-4 years ago. I don't know if it is current and would hope John will correct it if it is not.

JOHN, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Everyone who loves John`s playing MUST make the trip to Nashville and spend Wednesday and Sunday evenings (6-10) at the Legends Corner on Broadway.Mark Siler and The Short Notice Band serve up pure country for almost 4 hours with John featured prominently throughout. The whole band is great, especially guitarist Scott Cody (sp?), whose got a great jazzy style, maybe a bit like Leon Rhodes. Also later on Wednesday, if I remember right Legends has Buck Reid playing great steel with a jazzy girl singer; even some C.Parker there...
BTW,on the topic subject, does anyone know what does John`s LL KL on the C6 do, he seems to use it quite a bit ?

I think Mr. Hughey has a guitar with 27 strings, 15 floor pedals, and 21 LKL's and 8 RKL's,,at least thats the way I hear it. He is smoother than a ball bearing mouse trap

Just saw him again at the Grand Rapids Show.
He's still getting better!

Thanks John!
