Tom Brumley--Branson Show

Post by Eddie D.Bollinger »

Over the weekend, my wife, daughter, and I
took a spontaneous trip to Branson,MO.
Despite the overwhelming crowd of people
that were there, We had a GREAT TIME.
The highlight of the trip was getting to visit Tom Brumley. We were on the front row
for his 10:00AM Brumley Music Show performance. He and his sons offer great entertainment and comedy during the show.
I recommend this show to anyone who enjoys real country and gospel music.

The show was great and Tom is a super guy
that really doesn't know how good he is.

Eddie---The entire band is great but did you take notice of the lead guitar player, Barry Bailes ? He has been with Tom sometime now and I've watched him mature into a great guitarist and performer. He also works the Country Tonite Show there where he does vocals as well and gets to back Johnny Lee !
The Ozark Steel Guitar Ass'n. holds our annual early spring show there and Tom and band do a superb job of hosting it !!

My family and I did the same thing this past summer. As Eddie stated, it was great. We all enjoyed it very much.

is Barry Bailes the gutarist on Brumley's "In TIme" CD? The liner notes are less than informative...

( I know Steve Warriner is on at least one cut, but the rest of the guitar work on that album is exemplary, IMO)
[This message was edited by Dave Van Allen on 23 October 2002 at 07:25 AM.]

I did realize very quickly that Barry Bailes
was an extraordinary musician. He played
fills and lead with his telecaster that
were as complimentary as I had ever heard.
Tom had several guitarist on his CD.
Steve Wariner, Ray Flacke, Troy Lancaster,
and Vic Clay. The CD played for hours on the
way back to Mississippi.
