So beautiful! When you listen to this , the music transcends the limitations of the instrument and the technique is invisible, for lack of a better word .

Alan Akaka, Casey Olson (Hiram's son) or one of the "Byrd's Nest" steelers have probably played that there.

It’s a rare treat to see steel played even in Waikiki these days.

Instrumentals are also very rare. If an instrumental is played, it’s most likely a Hawaiian tune.

But Steel is trying to make a comeback, which is encouraging.

Stranger on the Shore is an oldie but goodie. I like that melody. So nostalgic.

C diatonic tuning?
